Speakers\nexplored ways to mitigate possible concerns and how to move forward safely,\nsecurely, and in a manner consistent with human values.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Section\n230 Update<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Politico <a href=\"https:\/\/www.politico.com\/newsletters\/morning-tech\/2020\/11\/20\/should-biden-lock-the-revolving-door-791804\">reports<\/a> that<strong>&nbsp;\u201c<\/strong>Trump for months has urged Congress to revoke industry legal shield Section 230, while its staunchest critics <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.commerce.senate.gov\/2020\/10\/understanding-section-230-reform-ahead-of-10-28-big-tech-hearing\" target=\"_blank\">largely pushed&nbsp;to revamp&nbsp;it instead<\/a>. But the president\u2019s more drastic call for a total repeal \u2014&nbsp;<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.politico.com\/news\/2020\/05\/29\/trump-biden-tech-legal-protections-289306\" target=\"_blank\">echoed by Biden for very different reasons<\/a>&nbsp;\u2014 is gaining traction among Republicans in Washington. The NYT&nbsp;<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/live\/2020\/11\/19\/us\/joe-biden-trump-updates#white-house-hints-at-deal-that-would-drop-confederate-leaders-names-from-military-bases\" target=\"_blank\">reported Thursday&nbsp;<\/a>that White House chief of staff Mark Meadows has even offered Trump\u2019s support for a must-pass annual defense spending bill if it includes such a repeal.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/hopin.com\/events\/european-ai-policy-conference\">The European AI Policy Conference<\/a><\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>AI may be the most important digital innovation technology transforming industries around the world.<br> \u201cBusinesses in Europe are at the forefront of some of the latest advancements in the field, and European universities are home to the greatest concentration of AI researchers in the world. And does AI offer too much promise for individuals?
